The details

Prime Student (folded into Amazon's broader 'Prime for Young Adults' umbrella for ages 18-24) gives verified students a 6-month free Prime trial. After the trial it renews at half the standard Prime price: $7.49/mo or $69/yr vs. $14.99/mo or $139/yr for regular Prime. Includes core Prime perks: fast free shipping, Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Reading, Prime Gaming, and member-exclusive deals. A payment method is required up front and auto-rolls into the paid plan unless cancelled.
