The details
Per the Alaska DMVA, Alaska National Guard members may receive up to 100 percent tuition assistance at any University of Alaska system school, and may also be eligible for federal tuition assistance. In March 2025 the Alaska National Guard announced the Alaska State Tuition Assistance Reimbursement Program (TRP) for Alaska Army and Air Guard members and Alaska Naval Militia members: up to 36 credit hours per state fiscal year, covering 100% of tuition and fees for certificates and licensures at trade and vocational schools and for undergraduate and graduate degrees at Alaska colleges. TRP depends on available funds and is processed first-come, first-served after priority categories; courses must be completed within the state fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
