The details
Under RSA 187-A:20-a (any NH public postsecondary institution) and RSA 188-F:16 (community colleges), a New Hampshire resident under 25 enrolled in a certificate, associate or bachelor's program does not pay tuition if he or she is the child of a firefighter or police officer who died in the performance of duty and whose death was found compensable under the workers' compensation law (RSA 281-A). Recipients may also apply for a room-and-board scholarship, to the extent funds are available, under policies set by the University System and Community College System trustees.
