The details
Created by the Vermont Legislature in 1965 to recognize academic achievement among graduating seniors (raised from $100 to $1,000 in 1999). Each Vermont high school, border school enrolling Vermont residents, and Vermont career/technical center may nominate ONE senior who is a Vermont resident, shows outstanding academic achievement, participates in extracurricular activities and/or community service, and plans to attend an accredited Title IV-eligible school. About 100 are awarded statewide each year. Not renewable. You can't apply on your own: your school picks the nominee, who then submits VSAC's Unified Scholarship Application.
