The details
Waives registration fees, lab fees and other mandatory fees (student fees, special course fees, differential program fees) for a US Armed Forces veteran awarded the Purple Heart, or the child of such a veteran if the veteran is (or was at death) a Nevada resident and the child graduated from a Nevada high school. Covers certificate, associate, bachelor's, master's and professional degree programs. The waiver covers whatever remains after federal education benefits (FAFSA-based federal grants, VA education benefits and VA Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment) are applied, or the full fees if the student has no federal benefits. Recipients are treated as Nevada residents for tuition. A child may use it for 10 years after turning 18 (or 10 years from enrollment if enrolled before 18).
