The details
PTAP is a state-funded grant for undergraduate Virginia residents at Virginia's community colleges who show financial need and enroll part-time: at least 1 and at most 11 credits a semester. Awards cannot exceed tuition, fees and books for the year. Because first aid packages assume full-time enrollment, PTAP is usually awarded during repackaging after the add/drop period, based on actual enrollment. Priority goes to students without a bachelor's degree who met the college's priority aid date; awards are first-come, first-served until funds run out.
