The details

Need-based grant for Wisconsin-resident undergraduates in degree or certificate programs at Wisconsin Technical College System colleges. Awards are based on financial need (Student Aid Index) and enrollment and are prorated for full-time (12+ credits), three-quarter-time (9-11), half-time (6-8) and less-than-half-time (5 or fewer) enrollment. Eligibility cannot exceed ten semesters. HEAB sets minimum and maximum awards each year; the 2026-27 formula is: ($9,270 - SAI) x 18.9% = award, maximum $1,752 (no change from the prior year). A second tier ($500 for an SAI of $6,693 to $8,000) is paid only if funds are available.
