The details
Colorado fully funds tuition for Native American students at Fort Lewis College under a century-old condition of the federal land transfer that created the college (the state allocated $22M in 2024-25). Covers tuition only for undergraduate, graduate and non-degree students; fees, housing, meals and books are not covered. Cannot be combined with FLC merit tuition scholarships. Colorado residents should also apply for the College Opportunity Fund. For 2026-27 FLC lists the tuition saved as $8,328 (in-state) or $21,024 (out-of-state).
