The details

Last-dollar grant covering community college tuition (up to the average cost of 12 credits per term) after the Pell Grant and Oregon Opportunity Grant. 2026-27 awards for full-time, full-year students: $2,280 to $4,716 ($4,716 is the 2026-27 average community college tuition; students at pricier colleges pay the difference). Minimum 6 credits per term; prorated by enrollment intensity; no summer funding; does not cover books, fees or housing. Students can keep it until they have attempted 90 college credits (dual-credit, AP/IB and failed or withdrawn credits all count). Students apply once: during their senior year (or right after the GED) and must start community college within six months of graduation (waivers for hardship, military duty and some others). Funding is limited: the Class of 2026 had a final SAI limit of 27,000 (SAI at or above 27,000 not eligible); renewal students were not subject to the limit. OSAC decides each new class's SAI limit each spring.
