The details

Utah Code 53H-11-308: Utah public institutions must waive undergraduate tuition for a dependent of a qualifying deceased military member - a Utah-resident member of the U.S. armed forces, or a Utah-resident reserve member or Utah National Guard member on or after September 11, 2001, who was killed while serving on state or federal active duty (or died of wounds/injuries received on active duty), not as a result of their own misconduct. The dependent must be admitted, be a Utah resident student (residency not required for dependents of Utah National Guard members), and not already hold an undergraduate degree; only courses applicable to the degree/certificate. Tuition only - fees, books and housing are not covered. The Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs certifies eligibility.
