The details
For students doing student teaching or a school administration internship as part of their degree. Up to $5,000; the amount varies with the appropriation and number of applicants, with student teachers prioritized over administration interns and priority to applicants with state aid eligibility remaining. Paid through the college financial aid office. Recipients agree in writing to apply for a teaching position (in an underserved county per the program description) and, if hired, teach at least three years. House Enrolled Act 289-2025 changed requirements for new recipients applying after June 30, 2025 (now based on underserved-county residence).
