The details

For Army and Air Montana National Guard members in good standing. Applied as a last-dollar award: tuition only (no fees, no flat-fee courses or program fees), minus Federal Military Tuition Assistance, Pell, SEOG, state and private grants and scholarships; any remaining tuition balance, up to in-state tuition, is waived. GI Bill benefits are not counted in the calculation. ROTC scholarship students are not eligible. Guard members who are not Montana residents still get in-state tuition status. Usable for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral tuition at MUS campuses; community colleges (Flathead Valley, Miles, Dawson) are encouraged but not required to offer it. Requires satisfactory academic progress. Once active, no need to reapply unless enrollment breaks.
