The details
Covers the remaining in-state tuition after DoD Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) or Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) is applied. Credit limits: 90 credits at Oregon community colleges; 180 quarter credits (or semester equivalent) at Oregon public universities, OHSU or eligible Oregon private colleges. Private-college awards are based on the average in-state tuition at Oregon's seven public universities, not more than $274 per credit in 2026-27, minus FTA. Since May 2025, because of the budget, awards cover tuition only (no fees or book allowance) - stated for 2025-26. VA education benefits can be used at the same time (Post-9/11 GI Bill is affected). Three-step approval each term: OSAC, the Guard branch, then the school. Apply every year.
