The details

Stipend for students in a PA Department of Education-approved teacher preparation program during their unpaid student-teaching term at an approved PA school (district, IU, charter, cyber charter, CTE or non-public). $10,000 to the student teacher (a separate $2,500 may go to the cooperating teacher). For 2026-27 the stipend is sent to the student's college, which passes 100% to the student. Recipients must teach for 3 years at an approved PA school within 4 years, or repay the stipend (proportionally if partly completed). First-come, first-served; selection begins after the state budget passes.
